Savings Achieved: 30% reduction in electricity usage for lighting
The Arlington County Equipment Bureau building is a full-service vehicle maintenance and repair facility. WiseBldg was deployed to control lighting loads of the office space of about 5,000 square feet located on the second floor of the building.
Lighting loads in the office space consist of Cree ZR-series troffers with dimmable LED fixtures. Dimming is achieved using the 0-10V dimming wires present at every fixture. In total, there are about 60 light fixtures in the office space. BEMOSS®-Plus deployment in this space includes:
Three (3) BACnet lighting load controllers for ON/OFF/dimming control of six lighting circuits
One (1) BACnet power meter
One cloud-based BEMOSS®-Plus
By setting schedules and performing dimming control, electricity savings of over 35% for selected lighting loads has been observed. The figure below demostrates monthly electricity consumption (kWh) of lighting loads with and without dimming control, from September 2016 to June 2017.
